Disaster management is vital for the government, the public and the business houses. Your conference will help to get valuable information. In fact the business houses can contribute a lot towards disaster management.

I am a 50 year old Midwestern Social Worker, married Mom of 4 and a College graduate. I am also a prepper and proud to say so. When my husband first proposed to me that we should start "prepping" in June 2011, I thought he was "a bit touched" as they used to say back in the day. However shortly after that fateful conversation last June, I became CONVINCED that he was on to something. I started putting all of the disasters that have occurred in this g reat nation over the last 10 years or so into perspective. From my point of view and from where I am standing now, something is horribly remiss. Call it Biblical, call it ecological or call it as just as the sign of the times with our bad economy. We are in trouble folks and I strongly believe that it is only going to get worse. Keeping this all in mind, I was converted by my husband's concerns and I am preparing for any disaster that may occur, ecological or otherwise. Am I a survivalist, no not really....but I am a realist. I just want to make sure that my family and close friends are taken care of in the eventuality that the *SHTF* or at best I am horribly on the right track. Having said this, I am very Interested in knowing what our government's continguency plan in order to better serve my family and my community that I live in. Thank you for your consideration.

Aw. It's sad I didn't make it on time. But if only I have a chance of winning, I would love to go to that conference. I think preparing for disasters is one thing people take for granted. For one, in my community, there are no programs for disaster preparation. I want to share what I learned from the conference to the rest of my community.
